Monthly Reset

That time of the month. The end!

Every month I put aside a couple of days to reset myself for the next month. This means doing all the things I either haven’t had time for or that are just started to pile up over the month. I usually set aside 3 consecutive days. 1 for at home, one for errands, and 1 day for the bits that fell through the cracks!

I create a dumping list of things that have been piling up and then see how much of it I could get done in the two days. I have two lists I work on. My weekly reset, and my monthly. It looks like this!

Monthly List

  • Personal Pinterest posts scheduled for the month

  • Review projects & goals. Ensure 1 action item is scheduled for each.

  • Spend 1 Hour filling out your finances for the Month (Spreadsheet)

  • Book appointments : massage, physio, dentist and therapy

  • Book times to hang with friends : Don’t over book, you don’t enjoy it*

  • Update monthly calendar & fill in

  • Update website & blog

  • Schedule your next monthly reset

  • Add any upcoming events to calendar. Hangouts, classes, appointments.

Dumping list

  • Booking vet appoint for both Cats

  • Plan YT Videos/ Scripts

  • Content Creation List

  • Pitch 1 Potential Client

  • Extra Medium todo list has actions in the calendar!

  • Trip Planning with Dylan - Toronto, Weekends in Calgary/Mountains.

Every month I add to an overall dumping list that I then work through for the monthly reset. Schedule it, and get it done! If you need the extra motivation you can watch the Reset on Youtube.
