30 Minutes for 30 Days
Hello!
Coming into the last month of the year I tend to do a lot of reflecting. I feel like we all do some version of this as the ‘New Year’ approaches. For myself, I always feel like I could do more than the last year, and then doing exactly that. No matter how much I accomplish big or small, I find that there is something more I want to learn, buy, or spend my time doing. The one thing I wish I did more of was move. Yes, Movement. I would say this has been my least active year since my high school days and I didnt love how that’s felt over time.
With that out there in the universe. I have challenged myself to Move for 30 minutes for 30 days. Pretty simple.
I feel like 30 minutes is not only such a small part of my day, I know how much time I spend watching episodes of TV shows on Netflix or watch Youtube videos. So this shouldnt be all to hard. The activities can vary from a run, swimming, bouldering walking, xc skiing, you name it. As long as I do some sort of movement that is away from my phone for 30 minutes.
If you would like to join along please do. It doesnt have to be Movement too. It could be 30 minutes of whatever you wished you had done more of, or need to do for you. 30 minutes of tidying, reading, learning a language, drawing, meditating, journaling, working on the thing that you said you would do.
I think anything really goes.
The Rules :
- 30 minutes for 30 days
- Need a way of tracking it. Crossing it off your calendar, or habit tracker, telling a friend or family member that you completed your challenge.
- Treat yourself at the end. This could be with something small as getting your favorite sweet, going for a drink with friends, ordering take out, getting something off your wishlist. etc. Either way celebrate in some way shape or form.
That’s it thats all.
I hope you join me for this little ride to ‘finish’ the year
